Let My People Go.
Let my people go
Exodus 5:1Do you know the story of how Moses had to deliver the Israelites from the hands of the Egyptians? How Moses, an introverted Israelite, had to be bold and stand before Pharaoh and command him to let Gods people go?
And do you think Pharaoh listened? Who was this Moses, an Israelite who comes in the name of some God that Pharaoh never heard of, and make demands against a king? Well, that is exactly what Moses had to endure ... stiff opposition. God even warned Moses, telling him that Pharaohs heart would be hardened.
And Moses not only had to endure opposition from his enemy, but from his own people. You see, when Pharaoh refused to listen to Moses, he made the lives of the Israelites more difficult. They were whipped when increased quotas were not met. They were dealt with harshly and unfairly. And the Israelite children took out their frustrations on Moses, the same person that God had sent to deliver them.
A few hundred years pass, and along came another Saviour. Born in a manger, He was no king. He was the son of a carpenter, and followed in the steps of his earthly father.
But He was also the Son of the Lord God Almighty. And He came to this earth to fulfil the will of His Father, and to tell Satan, "LET MY PEOPLE GO." He came to this earth to "bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound."
He took on Satan, and died a painful, shameful death on the cross so that you can have liberty in your life, so that you can have power and victory in your life. He went down to the pits of hell and took back the keys of hell and death so that you can walk in His light and in salvation. He rose again on the third day so that you can walk with Him, and have fellowship with His Father. Your victory has been established and secured already — all you need to do is to walk in that victory. He has set you free.
