Moaning or Growing
And they told him, We came unto the land whither thou sentest us, and surely it floweth with milk and honey; and this is the fruit of it. Nevertheless the people be strong that dwell in the land, and the cities are walled, and very great...And Caleb stilled the people and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it, for we are well able to overcome it.
Numbers 13:27 to 30In life you are going to get two distinct groups of people. The first group are called moaners. The second group are growers. The moaners are the complainers in life — they never have anything good to say. This is the group that walk by sight. The growers, on the other hand, walk by faith.
The ten spies came back with the fruit but also came back with a negative report. Today that still continues. God has so abundantly blessed His children yet the moaners just keep on moaning. God is not interested in moaners.
Here are a few examples of moaning, "My back is still swollen. Its been swollen for three years now." or "I am so broke. I'm always broke. I never have money to get me to the end of the month."
Moaners, my friend, will get you nowhere in life. In your spiritual life, if you are a moaner, your spiritual walk with the Lord to your fulfilled purpose will take forty years of running through a wilderness and mountains when you should be inheriting a Promised Land.
The growers, on the hand, identify and acknowledge the problem. Caleb did not deny that there were giants in the land, but he believed in a gigantic God far greater than what his eyes saw. Caleb had a different spirit in him. Caleb had a winning spirit. The Calebs of today silence the moaners. People who walk by faith do not complain about the problem; they tackle the problem with fasting, with prayer, and with potent words of faith.
