Have a Passion for the Kingdom
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy; I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
John 10:10One of the things I have seen Satan do is steal, kill and destroy the passion within many people. When you first accept Jesus, you are on fire for Him and ready to change the world. But, over time, and as circumstances and situations come along, many Christians lose that fire and passion for Jesus.
Today, I pray that the passion for Jesus in your life is renewed, that everything that the enemy has stolen from you is restored seven fold, in the name of JESUS. Too often we think that the enemy wants to steal material things from us — our cars, homes, or our finances. And yes, he does want to do that. But he has a greater purpose in mind. The things of this world are temporary, he knows that. When he comes to steal from you, he wants to take away your salvation, he wants to destroy Gods purpose and plans for your life, he wants to rob you of everything God has in store for you — both in your spiritual and physical life.
When he attacks you with sickness, he knows that you are healed already — but he hopes that you are going to lose faith and give up. He hopes for you to quit the race, throw in the towel, and go back to a mediocre life. And, unfortunately, there are many people today — both Christians and non- Christians — living mediocre lives. Many Christians are clutching onto a spark when they should be a fire.
So how do you revive that flame? First, you need to have a relationship with Jesus; you need to accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. Next, you need to seek God — through prayer and through reading the Word of God. You need to take your sight off your problems, because they are temporary and God has overcome them for you already.
God said that no weapon formed against you shall prosper. Hold onto that Word. Know that when you have a passion for Gods Kingdom, He promises to uphold you and to sustain you.
