Don't Live in the Dark
Wherefore I also cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers; that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ; the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him.
Ephesians 1:16 to 17God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness does not comprehend such light. God does not want you living in darkness. He is the God of light, and when you have a God of light living in you, He does not want you to walk in the dark.
People who walk in the dark do not get very far. They stumble, they fall, and even when they pick themselves up, they fall again shortly thereafter. Living in the dark makes life a lot more complicated.
Living in darkness also limits your sight drastically. Unless you know where to find what you are looking for, you are going to spend a lot of time trying to find it. You're going to have to look harder, concentrate harder, and spend time and effort trying to find something that could easily be found if the light is on.
In your spiritual walk, are you still walking down a narrow road in darkness? You see, Gods plans for you on earth extends beyond just walking down a narrow road into Heaven. He wants you to walk down this road a happy, prosperous and blessed person. He wants you rejoice with every step that you take. You must have your head held high — a confident walk — and your face must radiate with gladness.
God wants you to know your destination. He wants to show you the plans that He has for your life. He wants you to have the wisdom and the knowledge in Him; this means that God wants you to appreciate why you're walking down this road with Him.
The Bible says that the steps of a righteous man are ordered of the Lord, and he delights in that path. May God grant you the wisdom and the knowledge of Him to help you through your days on this earth. Have a great day of discovering Him today.
