For All Eternity

His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.

Daniel 7:14

An everlasting Kingdom. Can you picture infinity? Maybe not ... because everything around us has a beginning and it has an end. Our mortal bodies have a beginning and an end. Our cars, our homes ... everything we see will one day come to an end.

Our oceans and dry land come to an end where the two collide. Mans mind looks for limitations because it is constantly exposed to a world of limitations.

But Gods kingdom is an everlasting Kingdom. An eternal kingdom that has no beginning and no end. One day we will have to give up our mortal bodies and we are going to be clothed in garments that will last forever and ever and ever. Are you ready for that day?

The Bible says that with God, one day is as a thousand years and a thousand years as one day. Methuselah lived to a ripe old age of 969 years. Thirty one more years here on earth and he would not have even come close to living one day in Gods eternal kingdom. Gods kingdom has no time. God is not a God of limitations; He is a God that delights in the impossible.

Our time here on earth is limited, but in that limited time God has given us every opportunity to inherit a joyous time that would last forever. The Bible says that every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. Men who think that they can do without God here on earth will one day bow before the King of kings. Women who have placed more effort in their business rather than in God will, one day, also confess that Jesus Christ is the Lord of lords.

Romans 6:23 says, "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life." One day you are going to stop breathing and when that day happens, you are either going to spend the rest of eternity in a lake of fire or in a glorious everlasting Kingdom with God. Where are you going to spend your eternity?
