Give More

Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth, for he hath not another to help him up.

Ecclesiastes 4:9 to 10

Life can be filled with so many hiccups and mountains and burdens that we sometimes get lost in our own situation and we forget to look at the world around us. Did you know that a good time to give is when you are in need? When you feel like your world is falling apart, take some time out to save somebody elses world from collapsing.

Jesus kneeled in the Garden of Gethsemane and he cried, "Father, if You can, let this cup pass from me. But not my will, but Thy will be done." Jesus knew so well the suffering that was coming. He knew the torment and pain that He would have to endure, but He took all of that and said, "Father, let Your will be done." He took the focus off what He was going to endure and looked at the world around Him, and allowed Gods will to be done.

I encourage you to get back to the basics. Receive the Word of God like a little child. Lose the adult mentality for a few minutes and think of what a child does. A child will give away his last Rolo to his friend. Another will cry with a friend, no hidden agendas, expecting nothing back. They do not ask questions, they are willing to give and not worry about themselves. Look at your world through the eyes of a child and you will be amazed at what a different world you will see.

Be passionate about life. Give passionately, pray passionately, treat people with love, make a difference with the right attitude, and God will do the impossible in your life.

Today is a new day to smile, to be filled with the joy of the Lord, to hug somebody, to phone somebody, to care, to cherish, to share ... being a Christian is not about being perfect. Being a Christian is about being filled with Gods love to say, "Lord, not my will, but Thy will be done today."
