Where Is the Hope?
The Peter said, Silver and gold have I none, but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.
Acts 3:6Have you ever been so worried that you could feel your health worsening? What if you could take all that energy that you used in worrying and turn it into a powerful energy that comes from your innermost being to change a situation rather than worry about the situation?
Imagine if you could see a deaf and dumb person begin to hear again because you touched him? Or if you could make the blind man see because he held your handkerchief? What if you could change situations in your family? Your alcoholic son-in-law or the abusive husband; the unruly child or the stubborn nephew transformed? Would you, instead of worrying or cursing, be able to pray and pray and pray until you see victory?
Peter looked at life a little differently in Acts 3. "I don't have any silver or gold. But I can give you your legs back." Peter did not dwell on the point that he had nothing material to give the beggar; Peter had more than that ... hope for the young man.
The truth is, in todays world we have too few people of hope and too many people of distress. And distress kills. Hope quickens. Hope gives people a reason to live. If you give a person hope you are giving him a chance to make something of life.
Where is your hope? Is your hope in winning the lottery or in the witchdoctors and psychiatrists? Is your hope in the church or in the Pastor? Your hope needs to be in the LORD. When you look at a situation, you need to see Jesus working in that situation. Don't look at the negative ... negativity is a killer. The negative removes hope and faith. But when you grasp onto hope situations change.
You see life in a different angle — Gods angle. You are able to change situations and build faith and give others hope too. But the decision starts with you.
