I Had Fainted
I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.
Psalm 27:13 to 14We serve an awesome God. A God of the impossible. A God who will never suffer his children to be destroyed. Beloved, there is a God that wants to have a relationship with you; a God who wants to be called Father in your life. He is the eternal, everlasting and faithful Saviour. He is the ruler, the author and the creator of heaven and earth. The Bible says that there is nothing too difficult for Him.
The Psalmist David had many enemies come against him from every side. He was engulfed by situations and circumstances. But, just as he advised, he waited on the LORD. That is the best thing any person can do when confronting a mountain.
Wait on the LORD, in expectation, and in anticipation. Be of good courage. Courageous people are people who do not back down. They can stare their giants in the face and proclaim, "Goliath, today you're going down."
And the only time you can be courageous is when you know who you are in Christ Jesus. A meek man hides behind the crowd, afraid, because he does not know the strength that lies within him. But courageous people know that they are more than conquerors in Christ Jesus. They know that when they stand on the Rock Christ Jesus, no wind, no storm, no tsunami, and no hurricane can move them. Courageous people do not faint because they have victories — trophies — that stand valiantly on display to remind them of their victories and the goodness of the Lord.
Yes, I am sure that courageous children of God lost heart at some stage; but they remembered the goodness of the LORD and they were strengthened. Wait on the LORD, and be of good courage. He never disappoints those that seek Him, and He strengthens those that will search for Him when they are weak.
