What Is That In Your Hand?

And the LORD said unto him, What is that in thine hand? And he said, a rod.

Inadequacy - a deceitful lie convincing enough to make one feel ill- equipped to fulfil Gods purpose in ones life. Have you ever experienced this? Ever felt like you were stuck in a situation where you felt completely helpless?

What are you holding in your hand? David had a sling and a smooth stone in his hand... and that brought down Goliath. Moses had a rod that performed miracles. Gideon had an army of 300 men to destroy the mighty Midianite army. Paul had a handkerchief, and healed many. What gift has God given you to use in the kingdom of God?

The Bible says that every good and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights. You have a gift, a rod in your hand, that God is either already using mightily or that you are holding onto but you just haven't got the gift unwrapped yet.

Don't believe this lie that you cannot do anything or that you are not good enough. If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Saviour, you are a child of the living God, and you have the keys to the kingdom of Heaven in your hand. Do not allow fear or intimidation or timidity or any other inferior emotion to settle in your heart.

Rather, be bold, be strong, be of good courage, and be more than a conqueror in Christ Jesus. Whatever God has purposed for your life, I encourage you to start practicing and perfecting the gift God has given you.

You have the makings of greatness within you. God wants you to be a world-changer. He says, "Go forth, and shine your light. Make a difference in this world."
