Glory to God
Give unto the LORD, O ye mighty, give unto the Lord glory and strength.
Psalm 29:1"O ye mighty." Do you have any idea what power you have within you? We do not talk about physical strength, but more as a mighty child of an ever- living, all-powerful God. God created you in His image and in His likeness. He has given you His Holy Spirit to strengthen and encourage you. He has made you victorious through the blood of the Lamb.
But are you giving God the glory that is due to Him? God is an awesome God. When you are going through a difficult situation, worship God. Victories have been won by men singing and worshipping God. "The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is full of majesty. The voice of the Lord shaketh the wilderness." God is too great to be described in our mere human words. There are no words that can fully describe the awesomeness of God. And yet God honours our words. He delights Himself in your praises.
You have been redeemed by this great God. You belong to Him. You are a child of a magnificent, gracious, merciful, loving God. His love cannot be explained. He never leaves you nor forsakes you. Even in your wilderness, the Word tells us that His voice shakes the ground around you.
Should you not give God all the glory due to Him? Should you not worship God in the beauty of holiness? Satan will try and stop you from worshipping God. Satan knows the power of a heart of worship. I exhort you today, in your darkest hour, and in your brightest hour ... give God the glory. He will make you rise on eagles wings. He will hide you under His wings and He will carry you above your circumstances.
For all that God has done for you give Him the glory, the honour and the praise. Do not reach that point in your life where God has to use a stone to worship Him. Worship God with all that you are. Present your bodies to God a living sacrifice as part of your worship. That is your reasonable service.
