Nothing Is Insignificant

And they said unto him, We have here but five loaves, and two fishes.

Matthew 14:17

In the kingdom of God nothing is insignificant. Actually, it was more the insignificant things that made all the difference. Who ever thought that five loaves and two fish would feed five thousand people?

And who thought that blowing a few trumpets and making a triumphant noise unto the Lord would bring down the walls of Jericho? Or, who ever thought that a rod cast into the waters would cause seas to separate? And who would have guessed that a little stick thrown into the water would make an axe float?

Who would have thought that a little mud, spat upon, would give a blind man sight? Or a simple handkerchief would be used to heal many? And whoever heard of three hundred men destroying an entire army? Or four lepers instilling fear into a Syrian army, causing them to scatter?

Nothing, absolutely nothing, is insignificant in the kingdom of God. The little penny you have in your pocket has the ability to produce one hundred pennies. It doesn't make a difference whether you have one million dollars or one dollar — God can use either of them to produce miraculous results.

And the same applies when it comes to sin ... Satan is not some Joker attached to a pack of cards. He means business. A "little" sin to you is a big thing to God and to Satan. A seemingly "insignificant" lie can destroy your hope of eternal life. In the kingdom of God nothing is insignificant.

What are you holding onto that seems insignificant? God might tell you to put your last rand into the offering. And to you, it might seem embarrassing or insignificant. But to God, that one rand could take you to new heights. Don't, not for a moment, think that something or someone is insignificant.
