I Am So Happy To Be Me

I will praise thee, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvellous are thy works, and that my soul knows right well.

Psalm 139:14

I am so happy to be me. God has created me to be somebody special. His Word calls me "marvellous." Do you believe that about yourself?

Did God make fat people? Did God make thin and ugly and pretty and handsome and cute people? The Word of God says, in Genesis 1, that He created "male and female." And then He goes on to say, "Everything I have made is very good." Now I know God is creative and life would be utterly boring if everybody looked like James Dean; so today you need to look in the mirror and admit, "I am so happy to be me. God created me marvellous and very good."

When God created you He did not just create a picture or mould together some dust and all those things that we are so delicately made of. He filled you up; filled you up with good gifts that only the Father of light can give. Those gifts were given to you so that you could be an asset to this world. Man was never created to be a liability. You were never created to look upon yourself and say, "I am useless in this world."

Did you know that God created you to be a king and a ruler over nations? But until you get there He needs you to step out of the freckle-faced shepherd boy mentality (like David) and take on the kingly role He created you to fulfil. And the first step to getting there is to accept yourself as you are. You need to search Gods Word and discover who He created you to be. You need to start in Genesis and work to Revelation.

In Genesis you were created very good but in Revelation you become a king. There are sixty-four books between the beginning and the end that will make you discover who you are ... not how the world sees you but how God looks at you. The world has introduced words like "fat" and "ugly." God never made ugly. He made you in His image and in His likeness. You HAVE to look upon yourself as a reflection of God.
