God Chose You

Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead)

Galatians 1:1

In Psalm 139, David writes, "My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them." God told the prophet Jeremiah, "Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee; I ordained thee a prophet."

Paul made it very clear in his opening statement to the church in Galatia — he was not chosen by man, neither is he an apostle because his father or grandfather was an apostle. He was who he was because God chose him to be an apostle unto the Jews and the Gentiles.

God chose you for a purpose and a plan, equipping you with everything you need to be fruitful and reap a harvest. I exhort you today to get into those plans that God has for you. It is when you are fruitful in the Kingdom of God that everything else in your life takes the right perspective and you gain victory in your personal affairs.

How do you find out Gods plans for your life? Pray. Ask God to reveal those plans to you; ask God to guide your footsteps. And you need to have a heart of surrender. When you surrender everything to God it is then that He can work in your life, direct you and bring you into His plans for you. When you do not surrender to God, you are telling Him, "I do not have the faith to trust You with my entire life."

My friend, when God enlightens your life and shows you the plans He has for you, your world will never be the same again. Instead of seeing dismay and gloom you see opportunity and a harvest ready to be reaped. Do not follow a diverted destiny that man gives you; but rather go to the Father and ask Him for direction. Find your footing on the solid Rock, Christ Jesus.
