The Bible says that the devil walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. If you make yourself prey for the enemy by not staying under the safeguard of your Shepherd, and learning from your Master, the enemy will pounce on you.

There is a spiritual world that exists, and Paul says that in order to overcome you need to know how to fight using spiritual weapons. Whatever victory you win in the spiritual always manifests in the flesh. Here are a few weapons that God has given you to help you overcome the attacks of the enemy:

The name of Jesus. The Bible says that the enemy trembles at the name of Jesus. The name of the LORD is a strong tower, the righteous run into it and they are saved.

The blood of Jesus. The Bible says that "they overcame him (Satan) by the blood of the Lamb." Cover your life daily with the blood of Jesus.

Our testimonies. The Bible continues, "they overcame him by ... the words of their testimonies." Never allow the enemy to steal your testimony. There is power in sharing your life story and the goodness of the LORD with others.

Praising God. The Bible says that God inhabits the praises of His people. The Word also says that God is glorious in holiness and fearful in praise, doing wonders.

The Word of God. Jesus used the Word against Satan in the wilderness. The Bible says that the Word of God is sharper than any two-edged sword.

The fire of God. 1 Kings 18:24 says, "And the God that answereth by fire, let Him be God." Our God is an all-consuming fire. Ask God to place His fire around your home. The enemy knows the fire of God all too well.

There is also His armour that we can wear, spoken of in Ephesians 6. God has equipped you to overcome all the works of the enemy, and nothing shall harm you. Are you walking into your victory?
