New Year, Old Promises

Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

Psalm 119:105

"Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, and today, and forever." Years change, seasons change, our mood during the day changes, but the Word of God promises that it will never change ... the Word will remain the same as it was yesterday, and it will always be the same.

Jesus said, "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God." David said that the path he walks on is illuminated by the Word of God. Our own glory and our lives cannot bring about the illumination we need to walk on the road God wants us on. Only the Light that is promised in the Word of God can be that lamp unto our feet.

Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 1:18, "For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness, but unto us which are saved it is the power of God." The Word of God is all the power you need to change the reports your doctor gives you into a report of hope and victory. The Word of God is your report to change those bad debts into financial blessings. The Word of God is your report to change a hopeless, dead situation into a cup overflowing with goodness and mercy, prosperity and abundance.

Yes, this is a new year and a new month, but many believers have gone into this year with the same negative attitude and the same situations. I exhort you to take a stand that this year is going to be a year of resounding victory. Do not focus on your problems, but rather look to a God who is mightier than anything the world or Satan throws at you.

This year is new, but Gods promises remain "Yea" and "Amen." Gods Word has all the answers you need to enter into that divine covenant with God, onto a path that promises to be prosperous, abundant and joyous. It is your responsibility to plant the Word in your heart so that the enemy cannot steal the Word, and all the blessings that come with it, from you.
