Going Forward in Faith

And when He came into the house, he suffered no man to go in, save Peter, and James, and John, and the father and the mother of the maiden. And all wept, and bewailed her: but he said, Weep not; she is not dead, but sleepeth. And they laughed him to scorn, knowing that she was dead.

Luke 8:51 to 53

There are two things that you need to observe from this story:

Firstly, Jesus was very selective about who He allowed to go with him into the house. The Bible says, "Can two walk together, lest they be agreed?" Furthermore, Matthew 18:19 says, "If two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of My Father which is in Heaven."

Of the twelve disciples that Jesus had, only three entered the house. Do you have friends who continuously hold you back from moving forward? You might have the faith to believe that God can do the impossible in your life, but are there Peters, James and Johns out there that will stand in agreement with you? Keeping the wrong company can keep you from inheriting Gods promises for your life.

Second, be careful who you share your goals and your vision with. Not everybody believes in the impossible like you do. Jesus believed that the child was sleeping and not dead. And the people laughed Him to scorn. There are people who can use what you share with them against you.

There are men and women in the world that do not want you moving forward. My friend, be careful who you share your vision with. I want you to pray this prayer point very earnestly, "Every word issued against my life to destroy my destiny, be destroyed by fire, in the name of JESUS." Pray it until you believe it.

May Jesus continue to work in your life; He is the author and the finisher of your faith. May you continue to be built up in the most holy faith of God.
