It's What The Lord Has Done For Me — Part 2

Behold a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name EMMANUEL, which being translated is, God with us.

Matthew 1:23

The birth of Jesus was inevitable; and the birth of Jesus had to be Holy Spirit-inspired. Jesus had to be born of a virgin. Biology teaches us that the blood of any child follows that of his fathers and not his mothers. The blood that ran through Jesus had to be that of His Heavenly father, and not that of Joseph.

But what did the birth of Jesus do? Firstly, the birth of Jesus brings credibility to the Word of God. For hundreds of years man has tried to prove the Bible inaccurate and just a book of stories. But the Bible was written by many writers over a period of 1,700 years. The Old Testament is filled with prophecies of the birth, the life, the death and the resurrection of Jesus. You and I can stand firm knowing that the Bible is the Word of God.

The birth of Jesus also got Satan working very hard. He had been waiting for thousands of years for the Messiah. He thought the Messiah was Moses and he had every child under the age of two slaughtered to kill Moses.

Satan then tried to pollute the Messiahs bloodline. But this did not work either. And when the bloodline could not be polluted, Satan then tried to have Jesus killed at birth. But God was on top of Satan's plan, sending Joseph and Mary with baby Jesus to Egypt.

The Bible says that God will finish that which He has started —know that if God has started something in your life He will finish it — no matter what the enemy brings against you.
