It's What The Lord Has Done For Me — Part 1

And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat; but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

Genesis 2:16 to 17

God, from the beginning, has always had a plan of redemption for man. God told man that in the day that he ate of the fruit he would surely die. Man is made up of three parts — spirit, soul and body. And it was all three parts of man that suffered as a result of sin entering the world.

Man is a spirit, who is covered by flesh and has a soul. A spiritual death resulted in separation from God. God speaks to the spirit being of a person. The entrance of sin caused the death of mans spirit. It is only through the power of the Holy Spirit that mans spirit can be revived.

The soul suffered as well. Yes! God indeed created each of us to be emotional beings; but when sin entered the world those emotions were corrupted too. The Bible often speaks of the weary soul, the thirsty soul, the hungry soul and so on. And the flesh would die too. Man, from being created an immortal being, became mortal by sinning against God.

But Gods plan for redemption also included sending His Son into the world as a man. In Genesis 3:15 God told the serpent, "And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel."

Since that day, Satan has continuously been on the lookout for the Messiah that would bruise his head. Satan continued to destroy man to prevent Gods plan of redemption.

Today, let us remember that Jesus came in the flesh to destroy the works of the enemy. Today you can stand victorious because God has already completed His plan to bring that victory and redemption to your life.
