Working Power
Now unto him that is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.
Ephesians 3:20There is a big difference between a power that works through you and a power that works in you. Through us is God. God uses you to be a testimony of His power — that is the exceedingly abundantly power — a power that only God can produce. But God also has a store of power that He has placed within you to use. God still gets all the glory for this power, but it is a power He wants you to realize.
"He that believeth on me, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water." God wants rivers (notice plural) of living water to flow out of your belly. The belly is your innermost being ... search very deep within yourself, go deep into your bowels, and that is where rivers of life must flow from.
Living waters — waters that refresh you and those around you. Waters that restore, waters that bring dead situations to life — that is the power that should be working within you. God is able to do exceedingly abundantly ... but you have to make that decision to stir up that gift within you. The extent to which God will use His exceeding abundant power is proportional to how much of the power you have working in you already.
If God gave you a stick of dynamite to use, would you make that stick a firework or a firecracker? And yet that is what many of us do today. We walk around like a firecracker when God wants you to be a stick of dynamite. What are you? Are you on fire for God? Do you release spiritual explosions wherever you go? Do you feel that river of living water flowing in you?
To get to this life you need to be in constant prayer. You need to constantly search for more anointing in the Word and in prayer. You need to persevere; you need to continually ask God to stir up the gift in you. And you must use the gifts God gave you. Today, persevere to cause spiritual explosions wherever you go.
