Sitting With Sinners

And it came to pass, as Jesus sat at meat in the house, behold, many publicans and sinners came and sat down with him and his disciples.

Matthew 9:10

Did you notice something about todays verse? Jesus did not go and sit with the publicans and sinners; the sinners came and sat with Him. That is bound to happen when you have the glory of the Lord upon your life; people are going to flock to you because you have something that they obviously want.

God wants you to be dynamic for Him. Do you know what the love of God is? The love of God looks at his neighbour and does not condemn him as a male or a female, black or white, saved or unsaved; but the love of God should drive you to have mercy on that person and move you into action.

You see, God looked at our sinful nature over two thousand years ago. He did not stop there and condemn us to death. Instead, He loved you and I and He took action ... He devised a plan of salvation for you and I and He put the plan into action. God saw an opportunity and He acted on that opportunity.

Every day God gives you opportunities to display the love of God. God gives you opportunities to pray and ask Him to move in your life and the lives of those around you. He has given you the opportunity to share the good news with friends, family and colleagues.

Every day is an opportunity. Today is an opportunity. And telling people about Jesus is as simple as living a life that is pleasing to Him and sharing your testimonies with others.
