Receiving Revelation
And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt.
Matthew 2:13God is a God of direction. Proverbs 3 says, "In all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy paths." Psalm 119:105 says, "Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path." Throughout the generations, men listened to the voice of God and they were given divine revelation.
God wants His children to receive a revelation; a God-given revelation for their lives. The revelation from God does not always pertain to ministry — it could be an answer to a financial problem, a confirmation from God to accept a place of employment, a request from God to pray for somebody, or God may ask you to visit a friend who just needs a little encouragement. God wants to give you a revelation and He wants to direct your paths.
God wants you to prosper; He created you to live a life of abundance and prosperity. And God will give you divine revelation to enter into that promise. He still directs paths today; He is a God who answers those who call upon Him. You may be facing a situation now where you do not know what to do or how to pray. Go to God. Ask God for His direction. And expect God to give you that revelation.
Man will fail you. Man will disappoint you. But God never fails. The Bible says, "Cursed be the man that trusts in man, and makes flesh his arm. Blessed is the man that trusts in the Lord."
If you want to enjoy good success, get divine revelation from God. Man will lead you astray, but when your trust is in God He will direct you, He will show you where to go, He will lead you to still waters; He will reveal things to you that need to be done so that you can go through any trial or tribulation.
