I Am Not a Second-Class Citizen

And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them.

Deuteronomy 28:13

Did you ever experience the disappointment of having trained for months only to settle for second-best? In the Kingdom of God, and if you believe that you are a child of the Living God, then you don't need to be a second-class citizen. Unfortunately, there are many Christians who choose to be the tail rather than the head. Yes, we choose to. We choose to give in to the lies of the enemy. We choose to live defeated, poor, unblessed lives. We choose to be second.

Are you empowering yourself on a daily basis? Are you getting soaked in Gods Word so that no weapon formed against you shall prosper? Are you spending time with God to get to know Him more and more every day? Are you being influenced by the right, Godly people?

When you became a child of God you became a new creation. You also became a mighty warrior for Christ. And in the battle you are fighting you can only be on one of two sides — Gods side or the devils side. The devil is always going to be on the losing side. He is going to bow before the King of kings one day and he is going to confess that Jesus Christ is the Lord of lords.

Thank God that you are on the winning side. 1 John says that, "Greater is He that is in you than he that is in this world." Yes, that's right — the Holy Spirit abiding inside you is greater than the gods of this world. When the enemy throws rocks at you, know that God has mountains ready to throw back at the enemy.

I leave you with this prayer, "I am not a second-class citizen. I declare that greater is He that is in me than he that is in this world. Any power trying to pull me down must scatter to pieces because my feet are on the Rock of Ages who will never fail me. I decree that God has something special for me and every stage of my life shall glorify His name, in the name of JESUS. Amen."
