The God of Our Salvation

Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the Lord JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he is also become my salvation.

Isaiah 12:2

God wants to put a new song in your mouth. He wants you to rejoice. He wants you to be glad. He wants you to prosper in whatsoever you put your hands to do.

You may be in a situation now, wondering how you are ever going to get out of it. You may be in a situation where you are condemning yourself. You could be in a state where you feel that there is no hope. In this one verse - Isaiah 12:2 - God says that He is your strength and your salvation.

God's strength is not a physical strength only; but a strength that will sustain every area of your life. The Word says that when we are weak, be it mentally, physically, emotionally or even spiritually, He is our strength. He will strengthen you; He will uphold you with the righteousness of His right hand.

And He is your salvation. The blood of JESUS was shed on the cross of Calvary for your salvation. It is not God's will that any man perish but that everyone come to repentance. You can choose to either be Judas, who betrayed Jesus and then condemned himself to death; or you can be that man on the cross, next to Jesus. In his defeat and condemnation he looked at Jesus and said, "Remember me when you enter into Paradise." And Jesus replied, "Today you will be with me in Paradise."

All it took was one simple act of faith ... believing that Jesus is his light and salvation. Today, do not neglect so great a salvation. Whatever valley you find yourself in today, look to JESUS and He will deliver you. He will save you, strengthen you and give you the faith to see another day through. But more importantly, God wants to deliver you from your valley. Do not build your house in the valley when God wants to build you a mansion on the mountain-top.
