Rejoice Always

Rejoice evermore.

1 Thessalonians 5:16

So many Christians lead defeated lives. So many Christians battle to rejoice evermore. And yet from the Old Testament to the New we are told to rejoice. Amongst persecutions, during battles, even during times of defeat, a believer should rejoice.

My brother taught me something recently. He spoke to me about the low thief and the high thief and how the low thief will steal your goods. But the high thief comes for more ... he wants to steal your spiritual blessings; your gladness, your trust in the Lord, your joy, your salvation. So while you may feel that the low thief is taking your life, your health, your marriage, or whatever else he is trying to touch ... be aware of the high thief that wants to steal your joy and your salvation.

Rejoice always. The enemy is a thief, a liar, a seducer, a manipulator and an evil destroyer. But your God is on your side. He is your Strong Arm, your righteous right hand that upholds you and strengthens you. There is no need to be dismayed or afraid. My God makes all things work together for good to them that love Him.

The Bible says, "If God be for us, who can be against us?" When God is for somebody, anyone who decides to go against that person must be mad. If powers of darkness decide to wage war against a child of God, it would be the beginning of their end. In fact, it is madness to attack a child of the Most High God.

The Bible says that your enemies will come against you in one direction and flee in seven. Are you walking in the ways of the LORD? Then rejoice. For greater is He that is in you than he that is in this world. Rejoice always. This is the day that the Lord has made, rejoice and be glad in it.

And remember ... the joy of the Lord is your strength. Wake up every morning and sing praises to the Lord. Start your day with His joy and end your day with His joy. Rejoice forevermore.
