Getting Out Of the Wilderness
And he cried unto the Lord, and the LORD showed him a tree, which when he had cast into the waters, the waters were made sweet: there he made for them a statute and an ordinance, and there he proved them.
Exodus 15:25The wilderness is not where God has destined you to stay. God promises you, like He promised Abraham, a land flowing with milk and honey. Unfortunately, many have pitched tents in the wilderness and lost hope of ever getting out.
"I will live in my poverty for that is what God destined for me."
"I will live in my infirmities and die with my disease."
"I am calling my marriage quits and I will settle in the wilderness of divorce and abandonment."
"I will live my life one day at a time, and dwell in a wilderness where I shall have no vision or purpose but to return to dust."
How do you get out of the wilderness? The answer is simple, but the action can be a test of faith — like Moses, you need to cry unto the Lord for a solution. You need to get Gods miraculous method of achieving deliverance in your life. Whys the action so difficult?
Well, would you pick up a tree and throw it into the water to make bitter water sweet? Would you dip yourself seven times in a dirty pool to be healed? Would you stand and make a joyful noise to defeat an enemy? Would you fight a Goliath with a sling and a stone? Would you take on a lion and a bear or two hundred Philistines single-handedly?
God has an action plan for every trial and tribulation you have. Sometimes it takes a small step of faith and a simple action. At other times, you need to step into the realm of the impossible. Doing what God tells you to do is that test of faith that says, "Lord, I surrender to your way of deliverance."
Understand that God wants to help you in everything. And He will help you if you call upon the name of JEHOVAH ... His Word promises that.
