A Child of Integrity

Let me be weighed in an even balance, that God may know mine integrity.

Job 31:6

Websters dictionary defines integrity as "The entire, unimpaired state of any thing; moral soundness or purity, incorruptness, uprightness, honesty, unadulterated state."

A child of integrity is unimpaired. In other words, he is not lessened, he is fastened, fixed, refuses to compromise, believes in one thing and will not be moved. Many today love the world so much that they compromise and alter the Word of God to suit their lifestyle.

If you are not interpreting the Word of God with the help of the Holy Spirit you are going to create shipwreck in your life. The flesh cannot understand the things of the spirit, but the flesh and the spirit are always at enmity with each other. You need to read the Word with the understanding that comes from the Holy Spirit.

We also have integrity described as "unadulterated." Adultery happens when the thing you currently have is not good enough for you and you start lusting after something that "appears" better but, in fact, is not. The Bible says that nobody is tempted of God, but temptation comes when one is drawn away by his or her own lusts. And when lust is conceived, sin is born. And when sin is finished, the recompense is death.

A child of integrity is not careless with that which is entrusted to his care. A child of God is entrusted with the keys to the kingdom of Heaven. God has chosen you as His child to go forth with faith and power to heal the sick, proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, cast out devils, bind up the broken-hearted, and bring people to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

But lust produces sin, and the result is that man loses integrity. Being unadulterated keeps purity in a relationship. If Satan can take away your integrity he will take everything in your life. Be on guard. And be a child of integrity.
