God's Grace
Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.
Ephesians 6:24We serve a God of grace; a good God who delights in the prosperity of His children. Have you accepted Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour? Do you have Gods grace upon your life? Or are you still living under Gods tender mercies?
Romans 5:20 says that where sin abounded, grace did much more abound. God wants to shower you with grace. When you live with Gods grace, sin no longer has dominion over you. Of course, that does not mean that we are free to continue sinning, as God would much prefer that we live with grace than with sin.
But what exactly is Gods grace? Grace is His free will and favour upon your life. Webster defines Gods grace as the "free unmerited love and favour of God, the spring and source of all the benefits men receive from Him." It is because of His grace, His unmerited love and favour towards us, that we can inherit the blessings of Abraham through Jesus Christ.
It is because of Gods grace in your life that you are here today, able to come before the presence of the glory of the Lord, faultless and with exceeding joy. We do not deserve His grace, and no works you do can buy His grace. He gives this grace liberally to them that love Him and to them that love the Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity.
As a believer, you do not have to ask God for grace — He has given you His grace already, and His grace is sufficient for thee. And when God gives you something, He does not take it back. It is you and I who lose it because of sin and disobedience. And when that happens we need Gods mercy upon us to redeem us and bring us back into fellowship with Him and to that throne of grace.
Today, approach the throne of grace with boldness, that you may obtain mercy, and find grace in your time of need.
