Resist the Devil
And Joseph was a goodly person, and well favoured. And it came to pass after these things, that his masters wife cast her eyes upon Joseph; and she said, Lie with me.
Genesis 39:6 to 7Does Satan have his eyes cast upon you? Does the enemy tremble when they see you, knowing that you have the King of kings and the Lord of lords abiding in you? Are you prospering?
What does prospering have to do with all of this? Well, study the Word of God. Isn't it amazing that the more you prosper the more the devil tries to take away from you? The more you make progress in your life the more it feels like you are regressing and the more you see Satan attack you. Rejoice and praise God!
When people see God in you Satan sets the wheels of attack in motion. Your prosperity in life is directly related to the prosperity of your soul. If your soul is not prospering, you are stagnant financially, physically, mentally, socially and spiritually.
The enemy knows this. When God starts opening the windows of heaven and when you receive what God has stored up for you, Satan is going to want to lie with you and rob you of your inheritance. Satan comes to steal your blessings, kill your spiritual life and, eventually, destroys you and annihilates you.
But praise God! Jesus came to give you a life of abundance.
Josephs reply to Potiphers wife was, "There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath Potipher kept back anything from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?" Joseph resisted the enemy using two viewpoints:
How would God feel? Joseph resisted the devil because he loved God. Why must I sin against my master? Why do evil against the man who
has given me so much?
Do you love God enough to resist the devil and all that he has to offer you?
