At some time in our lives we too destroyed the faith which we now preach. Caught up in the lusts of this world and in serving idols we denied the only true and living King of Glory.

But the day you give your heart to Jesus your entire life is changed around. The idols and the high places are brought down, the lusts of this world become as dust in your mouth and you are made a brand new person. Old things have passed away, and you are made a new creation in Christ Jesus.

Your history is completely forgotten before God and He remembers your past deeds no more. No railing accusations, no long finger pointed at you; but just the grace of God working in you.

You can think of the worst things that you have done to bring harm to God. But, when you go down on your knees and you ask God to forgive you, even murdering and torturing Christians is forgotten in the eyes of the LORD.

Do not, not for a moment, think that there is a sin (other than blasphemy against the Holy Spirit) that God cannot forgive. Thinking along those lines is actually saying, "There is a sin that is more powerful than the blood of JESUS and the power of God." And that, my dear friend, will NEVER be true.

Paul was a murderer, David was an adulterer, Samson was a womanizer; the Bible is filled with people who were never perfect but who were willing to be used by God and who were willing to surrender to God.

You and I are not perfect and there may be times when we will stumble and fall. But when you give your life to Jesus your past is history. And even when you err along in your new life, God is always ready to forgive you and make history stay where it belongs ... in the past.
