Stretching the Impossible
It is appointed unto men once to die but after this the judgment.
Hebrews 9:27A lot of the time people pass away and we attend the funeral, and we think, "It was appointed for him to die once, the Bible tells us that. So we cannot bring him back to life because it's not Biblical." But the Bible speaks of many times where men of faith revived the dead!
Friends, yes, man is appointed once to die - but here's the real deal. An appointment is set up when you need to meet somebody at a certain time. Did you get that? If you book an appointment and you go two weeks early, you are going to leave and come back again.
God created you; He created every single person that will walk this world. He gave each person a purpose and a plan. In Jeremiah 29:11 we read that God has an "expected end" for you. That is the appointed time for when you will die.
So when God has an appointed time for a person, you should know about it. When you know that somebody has died prematurely (i.e. went early for their appointment) the Word says that you have the same God that raised Jesus Christ from the dead abiding in you. YOU have the power to bring that person back to life to finish his life's design and plan. Yes, it is impossible! For you and I to do this in our human strength! But read Acts 26:8, "Why should it be thought a thing incredible with you, that God should raise the dead?"
Listen to this! Mark 16 says, "and if they {a child of God} drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them." Jesus gives a life of abundance. Our lives should demonstrate a life that gives life! Jesus never took lives. Think about it! He always gave life! Should we not give life to those who need it?
