You Are a Fruit-Bearer

But now I will not be unto the residue of this people as in the former days, saith the Lord of hosts. For the seed shall be prosperous; the vine shall give her fruit and the ground shall give her increase, and the heavens shall give their dew; and I will cause the remnant of this people to possess all these things.

Zechariah 8:11 to 12

You were created to bear much fruit. From the beginning of time, God said, "Be fruitful and multiply." Here are a few keys to being a fruit- bearer:

In order to bear fruit you need to plant seeds. There is labour involved. You need to find fertile soil, you need to dig a hole, and plant a seed; probably a few seeds before you start seeing results. Psalm 1 gives you a promise about your labours, "Whatsoever you put your hands to do shall prosper."

You need to nurture your seeds. You cannot plant a seed and just leave it. In your workplace, be consistent. Don't perform exemplary when salary increase time comes around and then slow down halfway through the year. Do your service to your employer as you would to God. In the Kingdom too, so often we encourage somebody for a day and then leave that person to fend for themselves. Follow up, nurture, help others to grow.

You need a good root system to bear much fruit. If your foundation is cracked the house will not stand. If your life is not grounded in God, if you are not living by the Word of God and if your principles and ethics do not follow Godly principles you cannot be an effective fruit-bearer. Make sure that you have a good root system grounded in God.

You need to protect your seeds from insects and from natural disasters. When the winds come and the storms arise you need to make sure that your seed is well-cared for. Stand with those you love, and always have a heart to forgive, to build up and to help others grow and reach maturity.
