What Have Ye?
And his disciples say unto him, Whence should we have so much bread in the wilderness as to fill so great a multitude? And Jesus saith unto them, How many loaves have ye? And they said, Seven, and a few little fishes.
Matthew 15:33 to 34Have people ever told you that you are good for nothing or that you will amount to nothing in life? Man has always been a negative species. Read the newspapers; people are more attracted to the bad news than good news. Man is good at putting others down so that they can look good.
What do you have? Do you have seven loaves and a few little fishes? Maybe all you have is a walking rod, like Moses. Or a sling and a few smooth stones, like David. Perhaps you have nothing in your hands but, like Elijah, you can still call down fire from Heaven.
Truth be told God can use anybody and anything. He said that if you will not praise Him He will raise up worthless stones to worship Him. God used Pauls handkerchief to heal many, a distraught, blind Samson to destroy the Philistines, a depressed young man named Gideon to lead His people to victory.
When God took His time to mould you and shape you and to create you in His likeness He created you to do signs and wonders. He fashioned you to be a beautiful representative of His Kingdom.
On our own we can do nothing. In our strength disaster waits to strike. But when you are a child of a Living, Almighty God, you are destined for greatness. You need to know that God created you to overcome, to set captives free, to heal the sick, to make the lame to walk, the blind to see and the deaf to hear.
When you allow God to become a bigger part of your life every little area in your life is made alive. Nothing becomes something, impossible becomes possible, mountains become plains and dwarves are made giants. Are you allowing God to use the seven loaves and the few little fish you have in your life?
