Soul Ties
Jesus said unto her, Thou hast well said, I have no husband, for thou hast had five husbands; and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband: in that saidst thou truly.
John 4:17b to 18Do you know how the relationships you have entered into have affected your life? Take this simple example:
Bob and Sarah dated for many years and decided to finally settle down, get married and start a family. All goes well and they live almost happily ever after. The problem ... well, Bob was a bit of a player back in college. He slept with Jane and Mary, the college cheerleaders. Now all of a sudden Sarah is not only married to Bob, but she's married to Jane and Mary too. But Mary was naughty too, and she slept with Frank. Frank in turn slept with Liz, and now poor Sarah is married to Frank and Liz too.
Sarah wasn't innocent either. And all of a sudden Bob is married to John, and Fred, and Candy, and the list just does not seem to end. Now their marriage is on the rocks because everybody that they have slept with want a part of their marriage.
The Bible says. "Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh." The Word goes on to say, "Know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? For two, saith he, shall become one flesh."
Here are the keys to severe soul ties in your life:
Accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. Forgive others. If you hold onto unforgiveness, your sins cannot be
forgiven. Examine your life and repent of every unfruitful and ungodly
relationship that you have been involved in. Cover your life with the blood of Jesus daily. Break every tie to past relationships. Encourage your spouse to do
likewise. Your prayer point can go along these lines, "Every ungodly soul tie that is keeping my life captive, break by fire, in the name of Jesus." Believe that God sets you free as you pray earnestly for your victory.
