Head on a Charger
And she came straightway with haste unto the king, and asked, saying, I will that thou give me by and by in a charger the head of John the Baptist.
Mark 6:25Does Satan want your head on a charger? Does his army look at you and tremble? Here are a few points to note from Mark 6:
When you stand up for the Word of God the enemy is preparing a people who will want your head on a charger. Be not dismayed. Jesus said in Matthew 10:39, "He that findeth his life shall lose it and he that loseth his life for My sake shall find it." Do not be afraid of the enemy who wants your head on a charger. Rejoice in tribulation, knowing that you will receive a greater weight of glory and eternal life.
You are a part of the Body of Christ. If your heart is a little sore your whole body suffers. Likewise, in the Kingdom of God, when one person is persecuted the entire Body feels it. When John the Baptist was beheaded his disciples were there to give him a proper burial. But more importantly, when Jesus found out what had happened to his beloved friend He fought back. He went out, taught the people and healed many. He wreaked havoc in the enemys kingdom.
You are never alone in your battle. When the enemy comes against you like a flood he is defying the true and living God and you can rest assured that your God is a deliverer. Greater is He that is in you than he that is in this world.
Stand up for the Word of God. Even though people may get offended or not like what you say, stand up anyway. It is always easy to exhort and encourage, but if God tells you to chastise a brother in love, rather be obedient to the LORD and lose a friend temporarily than be disobedient to the LORD and lose out on a heavenly blessing.
When the enemy wants your head on a charger, continue to charge ahead. Do not draw back! Do not slow down! The violent take the Kingdom by force.
