Live Your Dream
And Joseph dreamed a dream...
Genesis 37:5aThere is a dream within each one of us. A God-given and God-inspired dream that God wants you to achieve in life. You were created with purpose, with a plan, with a glorious future, with a hope and an expected end. You were born to live this dream!
Joseph dreamed a dream. And to fulfil this dream he went through being a shepherd boy, slavery, prisoner, and then ruler! And despite everything that Joseph went through he remained steadfast - he remained focused on his dream and he kept on keeping on! He kept on serving God, no matter the circumstance, no matter where he found himself - he stood steadfast on God's faithfulness. When Joseph had the opportunity to commit adultery he says, "How then can I sin against God?" Joseph remained faithful!
The Word of God tells us that He who has begun a good work in you is faithful and just to finish it. God wants to complete you! Even with our faults, our failures, our defeats, our sinful nature, God remains faithful to you and wants to complete the work He started in you! But you must want to make that dream a reality!
And as you continue to remain faithful to His Word, God will continue to work in you. He will continue to mature you, challenge you to greater heights; He will stretch your faith to believe in the impossible. Do you know why? Because the dream that God has for you is an impossible dream! In your own strength and your own efforts you cannot achieve the dream God has for you.
You need God on your side, leading you, directing your paths. Many of us travel on a road parallel to where God wants us, and sometimes God has to force us out of our comfort zones so that He can get us back on the path that He ordained for us.
Today, will you make the decision to seek out your dream? Will you let your steps be ordered by the Lord? Will you live the dream God created for you?
