Before Joshua could bring down the walls of Jericho a fascinating story is told of spies that are sent to spy out the land that they were going to conquer. A harlot by the name of Rahab helped the spies escape when trouble was brewing against them. But heres something interesting!

In Joshua 2:9 to 11 Rahab told the spies, "I know that the LORD hath given you this land, and that your terror is fallen upon us, and that all the inhabitants of the land faint because of you. For we have heard how the LORD dried up the water of the Red Sea for you, when ye came out of Egypt; and what ye did unto the kings of the Amorites, that were on the other side of the Jordan, Sihon and Og, whom ye utterly destroyed. And as soon as we heard these things our hearts did melt, neither did there remain any more courage in any man, because of you: for the LORD your God; he is God in heaven above, and in earth beneath."

Do you have this glory? Do you have this glory upon your life that when people look at you they see a God in you that is alive? Or has that glory been stolen by the lusts of this world, by the cares for material gain, for the desires of having friends to celebrate with or for things that do not profit you?

How many times do you sell yourself short because you want to be like the world? Do you put God aside from Monday to Saturday and then pull Him off the shelf on a Sunday morning? And because of this, you have no glory? The Bible says that if the light in your eye is darkness, how dark is the darkness within you?

I want you to know something today. When you give your life to Jesus your life is illuminated. There is a glow in your life that is not explainable. My friend, that is the glory of God shining through you. Do not trade the glory of God in your life for things of this world that do not profit you at all.
