Who Is There Like Thee?
To whom then will ye liken God? Or what likeness will ye compare unto Him? The workman melteth a graven image, and the goldsmith spreadeth it over with gold, and casteth silver chains.
Isaiah 40:18 to 19To whom shall we compare God? There is an international adage that all gods are one God, yet the Word of God makes it clear — there is a big difference between the Living God, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God whose name is JEHOVAH, and the graven images of gods made with mans hands.
The Living God has eyes that see you. Graven images have eyes, but they cannot see.
The Living God has ears that hear you. When you call upon the name of the LORD you are assured that you will be heard and saved.
The Living God has a mouth that speaks to you. When you are looking for answers, when you want direction in life, God will speak to you. "You will find Me," God says, "when you seek me with all your heart."
The Living God has hands that reach out to you. Just as Jesus reached out to Peter in his time of need, God says, "I will never leave you nor forsake you. My hands are never too short that they cannot reach you. I will uphold you with the righteousness of My right hand."
"Do you not know? Have you not heard? That the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, does not faint, neither is weary. There is no searching of His understanding."
Endeavour in your heart to know and learn more about the true and the living God. Discover who God is and what He has done and wants to do in your life. Make time in your day to seek Him in prayer, and study His Word.
