It's What The Lord Has Done For Me — Part 5
The Spirit of the LORD is upon me, because He hath anointed me to ... recover the sight of the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised.
Luke 4:18 to 19 (paraphrased)Paul writes, "While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal." A lot of people think that by going to the doctor when they are sick they will get healed. I have heard of many cases where cancer returns three or four times; and eventually the cancer still causes death. Why?
Because many people will tackle the physical problem but do not consider the spiritual problem. We need to delve deeper into the unseen; pray more and seek God more for a revelation to the problem. God has given us all the authority and power to overcome the works of the enemy and to enforce the victory of the death and resurrection of Jesus. You can talk to your sickness and command it to leave in the name of Jesus, and that sickness must obey.
Jesus also came to "set at liberty them that are bruised." Gods plan was always one to bring freedom to your life. He wants you to walk without having to carry the cares and burdens of this world. A bruise is meant to cripple you, to slow you down or to stop you from moving forward.
Jesus came to this earth and destroyed all the works of the enemy. He came to bind the strong man and to loose you. When you are covered by the blood of Jesus you can be assured that you will triumph in all that you do.
Today, it is your responsibility to enforce the works that Jesus did. In John 14 we read that the works that Jesus did you shall do also. Believe it, and walk in victory ... not just in your life; but influence the lives around you. God wants you to be a world-changer, and He made this possible by sending His Son to overcome the enemy and to give you liberty.
