The Moses of Today — Part 3
And the LORD said unto him, What is that in thine hand? And he said, A rod.
Exodus 4:2Point 5: Your Life Was Designed With Purpose
God had a specific purpose for Moses. God did not call the many elders of Israel to save the people — He destined Moses to be the deliverer. Your life was created with purpose. Jeremiah 29:11 says that God has great plans, a hope and a future for you.
You need to submit your everything to God; Jesus said that you must deny yourself, take up your cross and follow Him. When you can tell God that you want to do that it is then that God can truly complete the work in you — He will show you great and mighty things; things which you do not know.
Point 6: What Is That In Thine Hand?
What do you have in your hand that God can use? Jesus said that you have been given talents already. You are probably using your talents right now to create a better life for yourself and your family. God wants to take those talents and help you build on them so that you can be profitable in His Kingdom.
I want you to remember that God will use you only as much as you are willing to be used by Him. The more you put your trust in God the more God can change the world through you.
Point 7: Excuses Do Not Work With God
Jonah made excuses not to go to Nineveh, Gideon made excuses not to go to war — but God still used them to fulfil His plans for their lives. Jeremiah told the LORD that he is too young to go to the nations ... and God touched his mouth with fire.
Today we ask more questions to dissuade us from doing what God wants us to do. We make excuses to avoid living an abundant life. Know today that God wants to use you dynamically — excuses will only slow you down from living the life that God purposed for you.
