Serving the Lord Always
Then Josephs master took him, and put him into prison, a place where the kings prisoners were confined. And he was there in the prison.
Genesis 39:20 (New King James Version)Joseph was a man with destiny. At a young age he had a dream of what God was going to do in his life; Joseph believed that God would bring that dream to fulfilment. But a few chapters later we find Joseph on his way to prison for a crime he did not commit. What would you do if you were in such a situation?
So many believers fall by the wayside because they do not capitalize on obstacles that God places in their paths. Being thrown into prison is not a pleasant experience, yet Joseph remained faithful to the LORD. So many believers are thrown into prison today and this prison becomes their ticket to the loss of their salvation. Instead of continuing steadfast in the Lord, they look at the prison bars, complain about the food, and dwell in their pity.
You are a child of God, a child with destiny and purpose. Whether you know this plan or not, you are going to be thrown circumstances and you are going to experience life in prison every now and then. And these trials and tribulations are not there to destroy you, but to transform you into the image that God wants you to be.
When Joseph was thrown into prison, he remained faithful, and went on to become the overseer of all the prisoners. From there, he went on to become governor of Egypt.
Remain faithful to God and allow Him to mould you and shape you through lifes experiences. He will take that situation and make it turn around for YOUR good. Many of the Israelite children, when faced with tribulation, moaned and complained ... and they never saw the Promised Land. Remain steadfast, continue to serve the Lord when you are walking through your valley, and God will deliver you. Allow God to make the mountain in your path a stepping stone to something greater in your life.
