Fighting a Good Fight

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.

2 Timothy 4:7

My beloved, the truth today is that most Christians do not realize that when they get born again, they are not just new creatures in Christ. As a believer, you have become a soldier, and your weapons are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds.

But if our weapons be mighty, why are so many Christians being thrown around and beaten up constantly by principalities, powers, demons, curses, witchcraft, spiritual wickedness in high places and rulers of the darkness of this world?

Because of ignorance. The Bible makes it clear, "My people perish for the lack of knowledge." I'm not playing games today. If Satan can get you to believe that you are going to die of cancer, you are. If he gets you to believe that you were destined to be poor all the days of your life ... well, you're poor.

We are fighting a spiritual battle. And until you realize who your spiritual enemies are, all your prayer life is going to do is beat the air and make a small, if any, impact on the enemy.

We need to get out of our carnal mentality and realize that the serpents, scorpions, cattle, fish of the sea and fowls of the air that the Bible talks about are not pigeons, chickens, gold fish or domestic pets. These are spiritual sharks, piranhas and venomous snakes that are assigned against you to do what their master does best ... steal, kill and destroy you.

So I ask, "Are you fighting a good fight?" How will you know if you are? Well, you just have to look at your life. Are you living the life God promised you in His Word? Are you free from sickness, disease and poverty? Or are you trapped in an Egypt, or facing a life-long Goliath?

Stop allowing the enemy to trample over you. Rise up and take authority over all the works of the enemy.
