Jesus Is Alive

And when they found not his body, they came, saying, that they had also seen a vision of angels, which said that he was alive.

Luke 24:23

We do not serve a dead God. We do not serve a God that was buried but never rose again — the tombstone where Jesus was laid is empty. And death has no dominion over Him.

Satan could not stop Him. He tried; he thought that crucifying the Son of God on a cross would end his eternal battle. But he did not know that Jesus death on the cross and the shedding of Jesus blood shattered his future. Satan is destroyed, and all he can do now is wait for his judgment, and wait to go to hell for one thousand years.

But Jesus lives. And He is seated at the right hand of God, His Father. JESUS is eternal. We may not see Him now, but the day is coming when the "trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air; and so shall we ever be with the Lord."

And because God is not dead we cannot die. We must sleep, and we must put off this mortal body, but we are the children of God. We can boldly proclaim, "Oh death, where is thy sting? Oh grave, where is thy victory?"

Jesus has given you an abundant life; a power that calls dead things to life. Dead marriages must receive life; life-threatening situations must receive the abundant life of God. Because, my friend, we have the source of life living inside of us.

Stop looking at the temporal things that do not last. You serve a God that is alive, and who delights in bringing dead situations to life. As His ambassador, go forth and bring life to dead situations in your life and in the lives of those around you.
