The Realities of Life

And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

Daniel 12:2

Heaven and hell are real places. Some people believe that we are living in hell already. Others believe that after death you are reborn into a lesser creature. The book of Hebrews says, "It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment." Satan has done an excellent job at deceiving the world as far as hell is concerned. First, he made people believe that there is no hell. Then, so much emphasis was placed on hell that he made it seem like a fairy tale story out of a horror movie.

My friend, it is appointed unto men once to die and then the judgment. One day every person will have to awake from their slumber and stand before the one and only living God and tell Him about the life they led on earth. Some will be put to shame whilst others will be glorified.

But it gets worse. Being put to shame is one thing, but living in hell is something completely different. Jesus described hell as a "furnace of fire, there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth." Hell is a place of fire and brimstone where one will be tormented forever and ever. That's correct ... for eternity. Can you picture eternity? Can you imagine living forever and ever and ever in a lake of fire?

But ... there is an alternative. It is a place called Heaven. Those who are righteous shall walk on streets of gold. It is a place of rejoicing, where one can worship God forever and ever. There will be no tears and no sorrow. There will be no pain and no death. It is a place so beautiful that the mere human eye cannot contain its beauty. One day Jesus will come back and He will take us to our eternal home.

The only hope for our world today is JESUS. There is no other. No other god can reconcile you to the Father. It is the blood of Jesus that cleanses you. It is His name that is the gateway to the heavenly Father. Only Jesus can give you the hope of salvation.
