God's Blessings
I have been young, and now am old; yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.
Psalm 37:25Aren't you glad the Bible was written such a long time ago? King David would have needed to rewrite this verse if he were here today. Why do Christians live in poverty? Why are they content with the nothing they have when the God they serve wants to give them an abundant harvest? Know ye not that the Lord delights in the prosperity of His children?
Christians have been fed a lie that you are not a Christian if you are rich. Let me tell you, if you are rich, and you have used Gods Word to be successful, it makes you a prosperous and blessed Christian. It means you are doing something right ... you are living the Word of God in your life. Even non- Christians prosper because they take Bible principles and apply it in their lives.
Did you know that Jesus died for you so that you can be rich? 2 Corinthians 8:9 says, "For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich." Wow. A rich king, the King of all kings, gave away His inheritance, took on extreme poverty, so that you can gain those riches.
If you are not rich, my friend, I pray that you start confessing Gods promises of prosperity into your life and you practice the principles of sowing and reaping. 3 John 2 says, "My brethren, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospers."
My friend, you are blessed to be a blessing. If you are not receiving Gods blessings, if you continuously live on the border line, how do you intend helping the poor and the widow? How are you going to be a blessing to your community? With your words? Remember, faith without works is dead.
Being rich is not about laying up treasures on earth. Its about sowing and reaping; having an abundance to give an abundance. True wealth is being blessed in every area of your life.
